About North West Rubber

North West Rubber Ltd., was founded in 1968 in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada.

In the late ’60’s and early ’70’s, the company picked up scrap tires and buffings from the local area, ground them up, and manufactured rubber mats. These mats were purchased for use in horse and dairy stalls, ice rinks, gyms, and pick-up truck beds. Over the years, the business has grown and changed from a small, regional manufacturer of crude rubber products, to a leading, global recycled rubber manufacturer.

Today, North West Rubber is one of the largest rubber mat manufacturers in the world. The company owns and operates manufacturing facilities in Ontario, British Columbia, and Beijing. Their products are distributed all over the world.

The markets that NWR serves today include: Agriculture, Recreational Flooring, Commercial Flooring, Playground, Pet, Construction, Industrial, Traffic Safety, Marine, Solar, Manufacturing, and Landscaping.

North West Rubber markets its products under the following trademarks: North West Rubber, Red Barn (Agricultural),  SportFloor (Recreational Flooring), FitFloor, Black Armour, Surehoof (Horse Trailer) and PlayFall (Playground).

NWR was founded on the principles of hard work, honesty, determination, environmental stewardship, and ensuring that we do everything possible to take care of our customers. And while the business has grown and changed significantly over the years, the core values and principles that we espouse today remain unchanged.
