Dear Arnie,
Greetings in Christ from CABTAL.
It is indeed a great privilege and joy for us at CABTAL to partner with the Red Barn Resources for the outreach to the Bibleless people groups of Cameroon .
Some years ago, when you brought the idea of starting some sort of local business in Cameroon in order to support the Bible Translation ministry through CABTAL, we were kind of curious as to how it would work as that was a radically different approach to supporting missions work.
For the past two years or so, income has been flowing into CABTAL through rents collected on the RBR apartments. These funds have helped among others to achieve the following:
· Salary a key staff at CABTAL: Wilfred has been serving as CABTAL Centre Manager, caring for both RBR and CABTAL properties;
· Printing of the Meta ' Matthew: The Meta people will have the first Gospel in their heart language. The book is just out of the printshop and will be dedicated in June 2005.
· Equipping a key staff for Scripture Use promotion: Rev. Shey Samuel Ngeh will soon (in July 2005) fly to Ghana in West Africa to receive a three-month training in Scripture Use from the Akrofi-Christaller Centre at Akropong.
No doubt Arnie, you have brought a new perspective into support to missions. It now becomes obvious that the partnership between CABTAL and RBR is the gateway to sustainability in making the Scriptures available to those who don't have them yet.
Partnering with you for the outreach to the unreached people groups of Cameroon ,
Dr. Michel Kenmogne
